We provide food parcels to people in need in the Kirkcaldy area. This includes Kinghorn, Burntisland (we have a distribution point there), Cardenden/Bowhill and the Wemyss. If you live outside the Kirkcaldy area, you will find other local foodbanks who can help you.
There are 2 ways in which you can get a food parcel from us:
1. You can come to one of our distribution points and speak to one of our volunteers there – we call this a “self-referral”. The volunteer will ask you for some information and will provide you with enough food for 3 days.
2. If another agency is providing you with support, they will probably be able to refer you to the foodbank. Most support services in the area can refer in this way (including social work, some health professionals and various voluntary organisations). If another agency is providing you with support, you should speak to them about a referral to the foodbank. They can provide you with a referral voucher that you can bring to one of our distribution points. A volunteer will provide you with enough food for 3 days. They will also record the information that is on the referral voucher.
Unlike some other foodbanks, we do not have any limit on the number of food parcels you can receive.
You will find a list of our distribution points here.
If you would like to know more about what we do with any personal information that we record you can read our privacy notice here.
